Homecoming and Family Weekend celebrations brought hundreds聽of students, alumni, faculty and staff to the 91影视 Christian聽University campus for a weekend of cherished traditions,聽reunions, interactive games and the much-anticipated Husky聽Hustle 5K Run. This year, runners gathered in the evening for a Glow in聽the Dark version of the 21st annual 5K run hosted by the 91影视 Alumni聽Association to raise funds for scholarships. The weekend also featured the聽Association鈥檚 annual Spirit of 91影视 Awards Dinner honoring alumni for聽their achievements and contributions to the University. Brandon Baca 鈥�00聽was presented with the Distinguished Alumnus Award 2022, Micah Jimison聽鈥�19 received the Emerging Leader Award 2022, and Noemi Martinez 鈥�22聽was presented with the Emma Key Faithful Servant Award. Additionally,聽alumni, faculty, and staff were inducted into 91影视鈥檚 Walk of Honor. 91影视聽Athletics also inducted individuals into the 91影视 Athletic Hall of Honor聽whose participation and contributions have enriched and strengthened the聽University鈥檚 athletic program. Topping the weekend off, Christian Saldivar聽and Jessie Jimenez were crowned 91影视鈥檚 2022 Homecoming King and聽Queen, respectively, during halftime of 91影视鈥檚 Homecoming game against聽Northwestern State.
